Dressing For Your Age

When it comes to style, 47-year-old Cherie Gil says that women should know well enough what makes them feel comfortable at the moment. "I think it's also what is more true to yourself at that point of time in your life. Regardless of what age you are in, if you feel comfortable, you can spin off or carry anything. Style doesn't have to be age-specific. If you're confident, you can carry anything," she shares. As for Agot Isidro, minimalism is key. "Sa akin, less is always more—from makeup to accessories, and prints. I've always leaned towards classic lines. It doesn't have to be boring though. You can incorporate trends as an accent to what you're wearing. You can dress up trendy but just don't overdo it," the 46-year-old actress explains. But for 32-year-old Shalani Soledad-Romulo, other than feeling comfortable in whatever you're going to wear, it is also about wearing what is appropriate for the occasion. "At least get to know kung anong event ka pupunta at kung saan. Pwedeng hindi ka naman naka gown to an all-jeans party," she says. When it comes to age-appropriate dressing, there are no fixed rules according to these ladies. Just always remember to update your closet with the changes in your body, your lifestyle, and the kind of person you are at that point in your life.
